I grew up in a house on a hill overlooking Brandon, Vermont. For the past few years, I’ve opened this space during the Vermont Craft Council’s Spring Open Studio Weekend, inviting the public in to see the house and explore large and small prints of my Vermont photography.
For much of the past decade, I’ve used drones to photograph Vermont’s landscapes from above, discovering new perspectives on familiar places. The hilltop house was built in 1909 by Albert Farr. My parents bought it in 1973, and it was the home where I grew up. Its huge arched windows no doubt encouraged me to pay close attention to Vermont’s changing light, seasons, and colors.
I hope you’ll come visit in Brandon on May 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
